CSM
has inaugurated a new leadership program that will bring the highly
distinguished speaker, John McKay to your management meetings, conferences, and
training activities. He is an individual who has held
a critically important national position in the federal
government as a United States Attorney and who has participated in some of the most notable events
of recent history. He will share his stories on
Counterterrorism and the War on Drugs with you from the inside so
you will know what it was like to have been there. He also has
many practical examples of how his organization was transformed when he
embraced the concept of achieving results through the direction,
capability, and leadership triad. His talks give you an
opportunity to hear his leadership experiences, the lessons he learned
from his unique perspectives and apply them to your own organization.
John McKay,
former United States Attorney for the Western District
of Washington,
will provide background and insight into the United States Attorney
firings by former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, including his views
on what caused them, and his thoughts for the
future. During his tenure as an United States Attorney in
Washington state, he championed the first successful information sharing project to include
state, local, and federal data. He
brings insight to building consensus among different agencies and
breaking new ground addressing long-standing problems.
